Vehicle DescriptionWe believe this beauty is one of the nicest 1960 Ford Thunderbird's in the country! This car really catches your eye with its flamboyant option, the Sliding Sunroof! It was in 1960 that Ford decided to add a specialty option which was Produced by Golde and Company in West Germany, these cars were called "Gold Birds" by Ford personnel. The luxury of open air cruising, combined with a hardtop gave you style and safety.
The sunroof option was limited to just 2,536 cars of the 90,873 cars sold in 1960, and that means this beautiful ride is a rare find. This beautiful car is powered by a 352 V8 engine producing 300 HP and is backed up by its Cruise-O-matic transmission. It comes equipped with AM radio, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seats, dual mirrors, dual exhaust, and is riding on its original steal rims with original hubcaps. This rare bird has a show quality, Sultana Turquoise, repaint taking it back to its original K code Color. Its exterior trim and chrome is stunning, making a nice show quality "Gold Bird". Inside, the two tone, dark/light green interior is also in very nice original condition. This car runs and drives as nice as it looks and is ready to jump in and drive to your next classic car show!
