Positioned at the top of the Satellite lineup (not counting the GTX), Plymouth's Sport Satellite was only built from 1968 to 1970 and came with a whole bunch of attractive touches, including a blacked-out grille and chrome side accents. This 1970 Sport Satellite is one of the best examples on the market, with mirror-like, show-quality paint, an absolutely-stunning interior, and a numbers-matching powertrain to wrap it all together. Popping open this Satellite's hood presents a numbers-matching 383 C.I. "High Performance" V8, the highest engine option offered for the Sport Satellite in 1970! It breathes well through a 4-barrel carburetor, putting out northwards of 335hp and ensuring that this Satellite responds properly when you put your foot to the floor. Torque is put to the pavement through an equally numbers-matching A-727 "Torqueflite" 3-speed automatic, which shifts smoothly and seamlessly and ensures exhilarating acceleration anytime you decide to touch the throttle. The exterior's arrow-straight, curvy bodylines give off an aura of understated aggression, with its "coke-bottle" styling and C-shaped angular chrome trim sitting inside the rear quarterpanels just behind the doors setting the tone. The positively stunning bright red paint bathing this Plymouth's body still looks wet laid out with a beautiful finish, and the black vinyl top provides an excellent contrast alongside the car's excellent chrome brightwork. Being fully restored, this 1970 Satellite features rock-solid floors, frame rails, trunk, and door jambs, ensuring that it's good to be on the road for thousands more miles to come. The chassis, supported by torsion bar suspension in the front and leaf springs with shocks in the rear, ensures responsiveness and stability during each drive. Opening this Plymouth's twin doors and stepping inside is akin to walking into a vintage photograph, as everything looks exactly as it would have leaving the showroom floor in 1970. The black vinyl interior is in absolutely fantastic shape, furnished with plenty of retro-style woodgrain trim and pristine, comfy hi-back bucket seats with white piping to boot. Enhancing this car's already stylish appearance are the wheels it's shoed with, factory-spec chrome Magnum 500 wheels wrapped with a fresh set of B.F. Goodrich RWL tires. With rubber like that, this '70 Sport Satellite holds the pavement like a champ. Turning the key evokes a throaty growl from the 383 V8 under the hood, reassuring you that, wherever you go, this Plymouth won't leave you disappointed. It runs and drives down the road like a dream on four wheels, which makes sense, because this Sport Satellite looks like one too. With a numbers-matching, top-of-the-line powertrain, killer looks, and a drop-dead gorgeous interior, this '70 Plymouth turns heads anywhere it is driven. If you're looking for a unique, show-quality classic that is sure to spark conversation anywhere you take it, then this star-studded Plymouth is just what you're looking for.
